Information

DUO makes floral objects: One seasonal flower. One vessel made for it alone. Its shape, colour and character set the vessel that is then formed by hand, in small numbers, each one different. Every pairing exists for a single moment in the season. When that moment ends, the edition closes.

The materials carry the weight of the city: limestone from the hills it stands on, copper and brass worked the old way, walnut from the Caucasus, resin and glaze where the object asks for them. The Georgian in each piece is not ornament. It is gravity.

Editions are small and closed. When an edition ends, the object retires to the archive and is not made again.
